Daughter, Sister, Police Officer, Christ Warrior. These are the words we use to describe Leslie. Born July 9th, 1972, Leslie made the most of her time with us. Leslie was a 10 year veteran of the Fishers Police Department as well as a member of the Emergency Response Team (otherwise known as SWAT). Breast cancer took her life September 28th, 2009.
Leslie was passionate about the issue of human trafficking. Her last job with the police department involved identifying victims of human trafficking and helping them out of their situation. She also loved working with children and spent part of her law enforcement career at Hamilton Southeastern School. In an effort to continue her work, our goal is to give two $1,500 scholarships yearly to students at Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers High School who are interested in law enforcement, social work or other areas that could work in the area of human trafficking.
